  • What is sox

    Sox is a "unversal sound converter". it converts the following audio formats:
  • raw (no header) binary and textual data
  • IRCAM Sound Files
  • , Sound Blaster
  • SPARC .AU(w/header)
  • Mac HCOM
  • PC/DOS .SOU, Sndtool, and Sounder
  • NeXT .SND
  • Windows 3.1 RIFF/WAV,
  • Turtle Beach .SMP, CD-R
  • Apple/SGI AIFF and 8SVX

    Installation Method

    All of the subsystems for this product can be installed using IRIX. You do not need to use the miniroot. Refer to the Software Installation Administrator's Guide for complete installation instructions.

    Compatibility

    This software is compatible with IRIX 5.3 and IRIX 6.1.
